During your first beginner piano lesson I will recommend method books and music for use during the actual piano lesson and in practice time.

PRACTICE:  Piano lessons for beginners should be complemented with daily practice (even if it is only 10-15 minutes) to build confidence and dexterity.  You have to practice to improve, and it's also more fun that way!

SHOULD ADULTS TAKE LESSONS ?  Listening to music is a great stress reliever and playing it is even better!

DID YOU KNOW ?  Playing the piano stimulates many areas of the brain, and is universally recognized as one of the best (or "the" best) "whole brain" activities that exists !  It is a great mind-body coordinating exercise.  Music is emotionally soothing and stress relieving...a perfect way to integrate healthy emotions.  It's good for plants, and it's good for you !
